NA Cost Reporting Process Lead- Legacy System


The North America (NA) Cost Reporting Process Lead Legacy Systems will be a key member of the newly formed NA A&R Costing leadership team, reporting directly to the NA Accounting and Reporting Costing Leader. The primary accountability of this position is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of data, reporting, and analysis in the costing area through alignment and consistency of processes, leveraging technology, and collaboration across all costing enterprise teams, with specific focus on businesses that are using legacy systems and applications, not SAP. This role will partner with the appropriate costing and other finance domain leads to develop and drive consistent, timely, accurate, and improved management reporting that will deliver valuable insights that enhance decision making. In conjunction with that, it will be critical to facilitate the gathering of consistent, applicable, and accurate data to better enable management reporting and analysis. Will build the data and reporting framework as the basis to help identify, develop, and implement initiatives that will bring value to the businesses through efficiency/margin improvements and cost reduction. This role will actively partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the use of reporting in decision making and develop solutions to solve them. This role will establish relationships with other A&R domain leads to ensure accuracy of our financial data, ensure appropriate placement and execution of controls, and drive alignment and consistency of processes and data to support process improvement initiatives. Will help to deliver and drive the implementation of functional strategies, initiatives, and analysis that reach across all enterprises. Key driver and leader of change management, both strategically and functionally. Will work closely with the Cost Reporting Process Lead SAP role to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across all of the different systems and associated applications in NA.Principal Accountabilities

60% Optimization and Standardization of Accurate and Consistent Reporting and Data

  • Develop the strategy and approach in legacy systems and applications to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate management reporting that will deliver insights and enhance decision making.
  • Lead and facilitate the gathering of consistent data to enable top quartile management reporting
  • Partner with the enterprise costing leads to ensure timely and accurate reporting and data to commercial and operations teams, FP&A, and other business stakeholders
  • Partner with functions and Centers of Expertise, including CBS Finance, BOSC, Corporate A&F, Global Process Organization, and Tax, to ensure reporting and data comply and align with policies and procedures
  • Develop a consistent approach to expense reporting and implement this reporting approach across all segments, including a consistent cost center structure
  • Work in partnership with A&R to ensure accuracy of our financial data, and the appropriate placement and execution of controls
  • Partner with MIDS in the development of strategy and approach for reporting
  • Partner with the Costing Process Optimization Advisor (PI Domain) in the identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Deliver results and drive process optimization and efficiency of reporting activities by leveraging shared services, technology investments and data governance in a cross-enterprise approach
  • Collaborate across all enterprises and processing segments to create and leverage best practices
20% Analysis and Decision Support
  • Work with the Costing leadership team to identify, develop, and implement initiatives that will create value through efficiency gains and cost reduction
  • Applies an extensive and deep understanding of the businesses to help provide analysis and insights that drive improvements
  • Able to translate complex data into consumable formats to support business analysis
  • Gain and use detailed knowledge of the various costing methodologies to ensure that data and systems are used appropriately in support
  • Work closely with all sources of data, business and functional, to understand and ensure consistent and accurate reporting that tells the appropriate story, in alignment with financial results
10% Change Leadership
  • Create a change and optimization approach for reporting and data that aligns with the strategy of the function and the A&R domain
  • Help drive change by identifying and implementing process simplification, standardization, and improvement
  • Participate, and in some cases, lead efforts in process improvement initiatives that will drive alignment and consistency of processes, reporting, and data in Costing
  • Champion and support change management actions for finance activities and processes
10% Lead Ad Hoc/Special Projects & Strategies
  • Support all growth initiatives to ensure data/systems used at start-up will support the needs of the BOSC leadership and operations accounting, costing, and reporting
  • Partner with the Costing leadership team in the implementation of functional strategies and initiatives
  • Lead on all new non-SAP data/system projects and enhancements
  • Provide thought leadership on technology needs and strategy
  • Develop process to support an hoc requests for data and analysis from the business


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree with a preference in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge with a preference for understanding JDE
  • Ability to build trust across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated change agility and change management skills
  • Demonstrates very strong business and operations acumen
  • Must have a high degree of curiosity avid learner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 + years minimum of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Master s Degree in Business or Finance/Accounting
  • Understanding and experience working in SAP
  • Experience with multiple businesses

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
