Senior Accountant

Description This position is a key member of the Corporate US Accounting & Reporting team within Cargill's Corporate Accounting & Finance (A&F) group. The Senior Accountant role in Corporate US Accounting and Reporting offers exposure to unique accounting issues and the opportunity to work with the largest admin unit in Cargill. The successful candidate will work directly with a dedicated team in Bangalore as well as numerous functions and businesses across Cargill to support and manage annual expense of approximately $2 billion. We are looking for an individual with passion for problem solving, analyzing details and process optimization. This position will develop a strong knowledge of the US accounting and reporting processes and accounting policies, while providing support to other functions and oversight of the accounting and reporting activities executed by our dedicated team in Bangalore. The role will also focus on initiating and implementing process improvements as well as operating Cargill's new control framework. Other responsibilities include developing strong working relationships with other teams in and outside of Corporate A&F, preparation of financial commentary for the North American Controller, supporting theyear end close and audit process, and leading projects. 40%  Financial Operations Applies an understanding of principles and techniques, evaluates and analyzes financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations and standards. Provides leadership to complete activities which include: Financial Reporting, P&L, SG&A expenses, allocations, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial close. Accounting and reporting will be the key customer for the Cargill Business Services Finance team, and will work in close partnership with Tax, Treasury, Decision Support, Financial Risk Management, Controls, internal and external auditors. Holds self and others accountable for delivering results, and driving the continuous improvement of finance activities. Aligns with internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations; reliable financial reporting; and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies. Reviews and approves monthly P&L reporting, quarterly financial reporting packages and supplemental schedules. Operates Cargill's new control framework for US Admin operations. Provides support to external/internal auditors. 40%  Change Leadership through Process Optimization and Technology Driven Decision Making Identify, initiate, implement and document process improvements in key financialprocesses. Actively collaborates in driving process optimization, leveraging of shared services, and improving the efficiency of finance operations. Ensure planning processes are streamlined to reduce non-value-added activities. Ensure data accuracy and E2E framework are in consistent alignment with global RTR process owner, with a key focus on continuous improvement. Partners with other accounting and finance leads.  20%  Participate in Project Work within the Corporate A&F Center of Expertise (COE) Gain an understanding of the various COEs within Corporate A&F and establish working relationships with Cargill's new Regional A&F team.  Work on projects teaming with other functions and COEs, ensuring an inclusive and effective team. Qualifications Required Qualifications Four-year Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience Strong accounting experience with proficient to expert technical knowledge Demonstrated change agility Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups Proven accounting/finance leadership skills including strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to partner and engage with centers of expertise Demonstrated ability to understand and use technology to improve process and control Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity Preferred Qualifications Professional certification Knowledge of accounting for insurance and/or captive insurance companies Understanding and experienceworking with SAP FI-GL and JDE Demonstrated ability to work in a team culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and intellectual curiosity WAY06832

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
