Licensed Dental Assistant

Metro Dentalcare is a large group practice with more than 40 locations throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area. Metro Dentalcare was founded in 1968 on the cornerstone of building strong patient relationships. Metro Dentalcare‚ s general dentistry offices are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. and all offices feature electronic dental records and digital x-rays. We offer a complete range of preventative, cosmetic and specialized dental services. Our dental specialists provide pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and endodontics.
Job Details
As a Dental Assistant with our practice, you will be responsible for assisting our providers in delivering quality care to patients.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have a ‚ can do‚ personality, and be able to complete their assigned work in a timely fashion. In addition, a Dental Assistant must display open communication to co-workers and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
  • Mon: 6:30 am - 2:15 pm
  • Tue: 1:30 pm - 8:15 pm
  • Wed: 6:30am-2:15 pm
  • Thu: 1:30pm-8:15pm
  • Fri: OFF
  • Sat: 7:30 am-12:15 pm (1x per month)
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Understand and demonstrate proper sterilization, biohazard and infection control procedures in compliance with protocol.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, maintenance, and proper tray setups.
  • Perform all chairside procedures efficiently.
  • Properly take, develop and mount all radiographs.
  • Efficiently direct patient flow through teamwork and communication.
  • Perform all necessary lab procedures.
  • Responsible for stocking treatment areas/carts and dental related facility inventory.
  • Uphold a positive rapport with staff members and patients at all times.
  • Ability to identify and explain chart sticker numbers as they relate to financial arrangements and specialty referral.
  • Demonstrate safe and cost effective practices when utilizing supplies and equipment.
  • Assist office in achieving defined goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Six months to one-year dental experience in program or on the job experience
  • Current Dental Assistant Licensed is required or in process of obtaining to perform expanded functions
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One-year experience on the job within a clinical environment
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, records and documentation

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
