FP&A Lead

TheBioindustrial group serves customers around the world with a broad portfolio offood, feed and industrial products made from renewable resources and aims atall parts of agricultural raw materials throughout their supplychains. This role will workdirectly with the innovation group to provide financial leadership on aportfolio of "big bets" where adisproportionate amount of investment and growth is to to be delivered in theforthcoming years. The FP&A Analystis an active partner in the development of segment strategy, helps set clearfinancial targets, effectively quantifies the "value creation" of the segmentand ensures effective deployment of capital. This individual will ensure necessary financial rigor and analytics arein place across the totality of the development segment. The individual will have a strong commercialmindset with clear views on the needs and direction of the segment. Through deep commercial and financialinsights, coupled by an ability to effectively communicate and negotiate, theindividual will create disproportionate value by partnering and influencing theleadership of the segment.
Principal Accountabilities
65% Financial Planning and Analysis
Serves as the Finance Lead for the Innovation Segment Segment. Leverages strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills to set and drive the financial course of the segment.
Brings an "entrepreneurial" spirit to the segment, with an ability to think laterally, identifying new metrics and analytics to discern and quantify the value created by the segment.
Drives the strategic planning process for the segment. Demonstrates external awareness by understanding, translating and providing insight against competitor and industry trends ? and how those impact the unit's performance and strategy.
Integrates and interprets disparate sources of data using a broad range of analytical data tools. Incorporates use of statistical methodology and predictive modelling techniques. Designs, develops and implements value-added segment analytics.
Demonstrates high degree of curiosity by investing time and energy into learning. Seeks different points of view and perspectives (internal and external)
Drives the in-year performance management of the segment, measured by profit improvement (wider margins), lower costs and improved working capital. Develops action plans to address key risks and opportunities.
Demonstrates strong commercial acumen. Able to understand the segment (products, customers, processes) and their key drivers of success (how they make money, what the segment costs are)
Drives and provides financial leadership to the groups's IBP process.
Plays critical role in new product development and capital projects. Develops necessary financial projections, sensitivities and related returns. Healthily challenges the strategic fit and financial returns.
Delivers clear presentations, including defending positions on controversial topics. Adapts style to continuously seek 'win win' solutions.
35% Segment Partnership and Leveraging of Resources
Connects and develops strong relationships with areas such as Accounting & Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, Law and Operations, R&D.
Partners closely with the cross-segment/functional senior managers to play an active role in enhancing connectivity and communication.
Able to drive the behaviour, results or agenda needed for the segment. Has a point of view and communicates it effectively; thus, influencing colleagues by supporting them, challenging them, providing unique perspective and delivering value
Serves as a champion of competitive excellenceareas and promotes a continuousimprovement culture.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or other business related degree
Minimum 8 yearsof relevant experience
Proven commercial experience with a track-record of delivering results
Excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstratedability to deal with ambiguity
Ability toinfluence at all levels of the organization
Strongleadership, team building and interpersonal skills
Demonstratedability to develop long-term strategic plans
Excellent MSExcel skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint
Abilityto travel (10 - 15%)
Preferred:
MBA preferred
Previousexposure to a commodities segment
Previousexposure to Mergers & Acquisitions
Previousexperience in non-finance functions (e.g., Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing,Strategy)



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
