Sr. Accounting Analyst

The Senior Accounting Analyst role is a keymember of the Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain A&F FinanceLeadership team. This position is part of an enterprise-wide team, accountablefor balancing fiduciary responsibility and business partnering, while activelypromoting the value of a strong control framework.
This position is responsible ofexecuting commodity P&L reconciliation and complete analysis to explainbusiness performance to multiple stakeholders at different levels of theorganization. This role delivers financial analysis in a structured way toenhance decision making and looks for financial metrics optimizationopportunities. This position develops strong partnerships with commercialleads, merchandising, FP&A and other A&F teams.
This requires an advancedprofessional with broad financial analysis skills and will be the key point ofcontact to our merchandising teams, merchandising product line heads, andregional commercial leads for any grain/product line trading for any relatedanalysis. The role provides the business with critical business drivers byanalyzing data and making recommendations to merchants, merchandising productline heads, regional commercial leads, and FP&A on how to maximize businessvalue. The role partners with peers across the enterprise with other productlines within A&F, as well as FP&A colleagues.
Principal Accountabilities
60% Business Partnering and Financial Analysis
Responsible for delivery of timely, accurate and consistent management reporting and identifying business insights to enhance decision making.
Responsible for obtaining and reviewing all relevant financial data involving our grain/product margins.
Work with merchandising teams, regional commercial leads, and product line heads to identify opportunities, develop potential solutions and implement initiatives that bring value through increased revenue and reduced costs.
Participate in the implementation of BU finance initiatives and process improvements such as Finance Shared Services, ERP system changes, etc.
Help partner with other finance teams to reconcile P&L estimates to ensure financial reporting accuracy, specifically with regards to grain/product margin accounting.
Provide financial data requests for any grain/product margin related "Business accelerator" initiatives. Work closely with A&F Leadership team members, Finance COE's and the FP&A team to help achieve finance objectives.
Provide leadership and partner with other functional teams to establish the ongoing development of financial/management information that support the business decisions and strategic goals.
20% Oversee Financial Reporting Process
Review and analyze complex grain/product margin related financial issues.
Lead resolution to any management questions regarding grain/product margin financial performance.
Drive continuous improvement and optimization of grain/product line margin finance activities including management reporting.
Assist with grain/product margin related aspects of the Control Review Package (CRP) and Lower Level Financial Review (LLFR) for the businesses in their specific businesses.
Key business partner in the annual budget process.
10% Execution of control framework for grain related transaction and contract administration
Oversee efforts to maintain a control environment which safeguards assets, ensures integrity of financial statements, balance sheet reviews and compliance with government and Cargill reporting requirements.
Coordinate requested support to external/internal auditors for grain/product margin related activities.
10% Lead Special Projects as required
Assist with the implementation of accounting and finance strategy & approach which aligns with the strategy of the country(s) and finance job family.
Collaborate in driving process optimization, leveraging of shared services, and improving the efficiency of finance operations.
Responsible for any grain/product margin related "One A&F" initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor'sDegree in Accounting or Finance or 4 years experience in p/l reconciliation
Minimum5 years of accounting experience
Abilityto travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
Trading business and/or processing/manufacturing experience
Experience with J.D. Edwards accounting software
Experience with SAP accounting software
Experience leveraging financial and business systems to monitorbusiness activities and aid in decision making

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
