Description
Position Purpose
The Merchant Assistant position is responsible for performing analytic and data management work with oversight from merchandising and product line professionals, including Customer Interface/Scope, Autonomy/Risk Tolerance/Risk Management, Analysis/Reporting/Data Management, and Strategy Development/Execution Capacity\. The merchant assistant will be also be responsible for enhancing customer experiences through direct and indirect customer interfaces\.
Principal Accountabilities
40%Customer & Internal Interface:
Development of external customer facing component pricing reports\.
Investigating & Problem Solving pricing issues/discrepancies with customer, C&I, and sales team and communicating findings\.
Supporting Toll & Origination Trading Manager and Sales Team in providing data for customer pricing campaigns\.
Product Line point of contact for: supply chain, plant ops, risk mgmt\., sales, finance, IBP, sales ops, and strategic pricing
Travel to customer meetings and industry conferences\.
First point of contact for external customer component price discrepancies\.
40%Analysis / Reporting / Data Management:
Tracking complex customer futures reference pricing positions \(futures & derivatives\) against contracted volumes in order to stay in compliance\.
Data entry, organization and maintenance\.
Understand, generate and utilize system derived reports on customer, contract and risk position data\.
Assemble multiple sources of data into actionable tools\.
Retaining and cataloging external customer component pricing records in accordance with CPRS retention requirements\.
Assisting in gathering information for external & internal ad\-hoc merchandising information requests\.
Maintaining IRM customer positions & tracking performance pricing\.
10%Strategy Development / Execution:
Track & streamline process of component locking for multiple product lines\.
Act as a merchandising resource for current and future merchandising projects\.
Collaborate with team on strategy development and execution\.
Point of contract for adhoc issues as they arise\.
Any other duties as assigned\.
10%Autonomy / Risk Management:
Seek, review and analyze market data to gain understanding of market action and trends\.
Gain understanding and utility of risk management tools\.
Creating and maintaining miscellaneous merchandising reports and planning of meeting agendas\.
Assist w/GTM and toll strategies
Understand competitive behavior and interrupt what that means
Understand internal asset footprint and how those capabilities align to expected future market conditions w/in industry\.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
4\-year college degree\.
Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment\.
Ability to manage multiple priorities\.
Strong attention to detail\.
Microsoft Office Suite experience\.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills\.
Ability to work independently\.
Ability to work in a team environment\.
Demonstrated strong problem\-solving and analytical skills\.
Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written\.
Preferred Qualifications
General Accounting/Finance skills\.
Knowledge of Merchandising and Grain Trading

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
