Position Purpose
The associate supply planner is a member of the GEOS \(Global Edible Oil Solutions\) NA demand, supply, production, and capacity planning team that supports sales of 4 billion lbs\. of refined oil annually across 8 plants in Canada and the US plus 15 third party terminal & toller locations\. The team works closely together and with a large number of cross\-functional partners including sales, commercial, operations, trading, finance, CTL, 3rd parties, and other Cargill businesses\.
The planner is responsible for production schedule planning for Des Moines plant \(420 million lbs\. annually\)\.
The planner is responsible for supply planning of the sunflower and soy hard fat oil pipelines \(40 million lbs\. annually\)
The planner is responsible for pipeline location transfers between GEOS\-NA and CASC in SAP
The planner oversees a railcar fleet for his/her pipelines and works closely with CTL\.
The planner works on tactical and strategic projects as appropriate\. In fiscal years ?18 and ?19 GEOS\-NA is undertaking a business evolution program called Business Acceleration/RTS led by McKinsey Consulting\.
Principal Accountabilities
30% Production schedule planning ? Des Moines , Iowa manufacturing plant\.
Plan the weekly manufacturing production schedule by oil type, by customer specification formula, for quantity amount, and duration of production run\.
Inbound crude oil supply and timing , crude and finished tank capacities, inventory targets, customer demand, production wheel for order of oils, etc\. all need to be factored in\.
Production schedule is done in SAP \(ERP system\.\)
Coordinate with operations, inbound oil supply planners, and CTL \(Cargill Transportation and Logistics\) on any changes that will impact the production schedule\. Adjust schedule as needed\.
25% Supply planning ? Sunflower and Soy Hard Fat
Manage oil supply inbound to manufacturing plants to support customer demand and manufacturing plant production schedules\.
Maintain sufficient supply levels while balancing against working capital inventory goals and transportation costs\.
Coordinate with trading team on purchase contracts for supply\.
Enter supply orders in SAP\. Resolve any SAP issues as they arise related to his/her pipelines\.
Monitor rail and truck movements of his/her pipelines to destination locations\. Work with CTL to address transportation issues and opportunities\.
15% Railcar and truck oversight into and out of his/her plants
In conjunction with CTL and inbound oil supply planers, monitor railcar and truck movements into his/her plant\.
In conjunction with CTL and operations load out team, monitor outbound transportation from his/her plant\.
Work with Customer Service if customer orders are impacted\.10% Business Acceleration projects
10% Pipeline transfers
Enter daily crude oil transfers via pipeline in SAP between Cargill entities at 5 co\-located manufacturing sites to ensure correct inventory levels and proper invoicing can occur\.
10% Business Acceleration projects
Work collaboratively with other supply chain team members and cross\-functional partners to find efficiency, sustainability, cost reduction, and/or increased demand opportunities to improve the business?s bottom line\.
10% Other work as needed
Other projects to support supply chain network as needed\.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree
Working experience in business applications, such as MS Office Outlook and Excel\.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree concentrating in supply chain, logistics, operations, or business management
2 or more years \(combined\) experience in the following functions: supply chain planning, demand planning, trading, commercial, finance, transportation, logistics, and/or operations\.
Experience using SAP
Experience with supply pipeline planning tools

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
