Audit Consultant

Position Purpose & Summary
As an Audit Consultant you will execute audit projects globally and assess risk as part of a high-performing, culturally diverse team. Key responsibilities include assessing business risks, end-to-end processes, controls, and creating audit reports for both senior leaders and stakeholders.
Corporate Audit is undergoing a transformation that will take place over the next 1-3 years. The successful candidate in this role will be someone who is passionate about leveraging his/her previous Audit expertise in order to contribute to the Audit department of the future. As part of that, you'll be responsible for bringing contemporary audit methodologies and data analytics to enable the transformation of the audit function.
This role provides an opportunity to work with a variety of Cargill businesses around the world. You will have exposure to and interaction with all levels of the organization, from understanding how individual contributors execute their roles to briefing senior leaders on audit findings. You will be part of a high-performance team, consisting of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds and business experiences who have a passion for continuous learning.
Principal Accountabilities
75%: Assess, analyze, and report out on audit projects as assigned. Activities include risk assessment, project management, and communication and reporting of findings to senior management.
Perform audits:
Analyze end-to-end business processes and standards using data analytics for various areas of a business/function.
Identify risks within the business and make the connection to why it's important.
Document, validate, and communicate audit findings with senior management.
Use and analyze data to draw conclusions.
Project leadership:
Lead a team of peers through the full audit process.
Accountable for the successful identification, analysis, and reporting of identified risks in an audit project.
Effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
25%: Bring contemporary audit methodologies and data analytics to enable the transformation of the audit function.
Champion the use of data analytics to draw conclusions on risk and communicate findings.
Identify and participate in continuous improvement of the audit approach.
Identify and apply audit best practices.
Minimum Required Qualifications
7 or more years of relevant business experience.
3 or more years successful audit experience and evaluating risk across broad business areas (e.g. compliance, commercial, trading, supply chain, strategy).
4-year BS or BA degree.
Ability to travel globally between 30% and 40%.
Proven success in applying business acumen to the audit profession.
Demonstrated ability to quickly conceptualize and understand the strategy, business model, and supporting processes for Cargill businesses and functions.
Ability to communicate and influence at multiple levels of the organization.
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, discover and seek opportunities for improvement.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to and assume various roles within a team environment and have cultural awareness to working in a global team.
Passion and ability to lead, coach, and develop others.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple and concurrent priorities.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in trading or risk management, commercial, supply chain, strategy, or compliance.
Knowledge of business systems(e.g. SAP, JDE, etc.).
Proficiency in Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
