NA Compensation Consultant

Position Purpose
The North America Compensation Consultant utilizes full total rewards knowledge to consult with managers and employees on total rewards solutions and support complex components of global total rewards process with limited supervision. Although this position is expected to have full total rewards knowledge, it will focus on activities in compensation. Finally, this position is expected to lead research, analysis and compensation projects as required. From time to time, consultants may be tagged to a consistent business when a familiar approach or specific business knowledge is required.
Principal Accountabilities
70% - Development, implementation, execution
Under limited supervision, executes and maintains total rewards strategies, policies, programs and processes.
Under limited supervision, provides consult to clients and stakeholders regarding the interpretation and delivery of complex total rewards policies, programs, and processes.
Utilize expert Total Rewards knowledge to establish priorities and strategies, ensuring they are consistent with Global HR Solutions' (GHRS) goals and Total Rewards governance frameworks.
Advocate for solutions that meet or exceed needs for Compensation areas. If necessary, perform research and best practice assessment to create innovative solutions.
Persuade stakeholders to accept new ideas, approaches, and concepts by leveraging in-depth and broad knowledge over several process areas
Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Provide subject matter expertise in multiple systems and processes
Lead projects as required and hold project team resources accountable to their deliverables and ensure project execution.
Provides input to support implementation of changes or new activities, as needed, including training, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Provide expertise and identification/execution of continuous improvement opportunities
Collaborate, lead and champion change with key internal and external stakeholders, peers, and leadership members to ensure acceptance of new solutions and related processes.
15% - Relationship Management
Create and maintain long-term working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including process and technology teams, vendors, and business partners.
Support the Cargill Service Delivery Model (SDM) and reinforce its utilization with key stakeholders and clients.
15% - Other
Participate in and/or lead various global compensation projects or initiatives
Complete research and analysis on market trends, impact assessment, market data, emerging market assessment, etc. Based on research and analysis, proposes changes, if necessary, to compensation strategy, principles, programs and processes.
Utilize highly complex reports/materials appropriately with Business HR, managers, and employees to create insights and understanding of compensation decisions, patterns, and compliance.
Support total rewards Change Communication Education (CCE) initiatives.
May provide guidance/oversight to other HR analysts or specialists.
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree
5 or more years of Human Resources, Business or relevant experience
3 or more years Compensation experience
Experience consulting with all key stakeholder groups (i.e. Business HR, Managers/Employees, Center of Expertise (COEs))
Demonstrated experience participating in change efforts
Ability to travel from time to time, as required, including internationally.
Technical certification in total rewards
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (such as vlookup, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.)
Post-Graduate Degree in HR or Finance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
