Job Description
Title: Branch Operations Manager
Reports to: Senior Retail Banking Officer or Branch President

Job Summary
Manage and be responsible for daily operations of the branch, either directly or through subordinates. Assist the Business Banking Manager in making necessary decisions to improve branch profitability and growth. Promote goodwill for bank through active participation in community organizations and events.
Complete all of the assigned functions in accordance with Americana Community Bank's policies, procedures, service standards and code of ethics as well as legal guidelines.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Management Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the branch.
Answer daily correspondence regarding bank office matters and/or bank customers or direct such to appropriate bank personnel for answering.
Insure bank facilities maintained in proper manner.
Approve payment of monthly office expenses directly or through designated subordinates.
Serve as Assistant Security Officer and Dispute Resolution Officer for the branch.
Carry out the initiatives of the Board of Directors and Senior Management within your branch.
Prepare an explanation for the Board of Directors regarding any teller overs/shorts and bank vault overages.
Assist the Business Banking Manager in organization of monthly staff meetings.
Assist the Business Banking Manager in preparation of the annual bank budget.
Read sufficient daily, weekly, monthly publications to be properly informed and able to converse about pertinent economic, governmental, and community related matters.
Other duties as assigned.

Customer Service Responsibilities:
Answer daily correspondence regarding bank office matters and/or bank customers or direct such to appropriate bank personnel for answering.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Must be proficient and capable of performing all Teller, Vault Teller, Data Entry, and Administrative Assistant duties.
Promote the bank's culture and mission in the branch, set the mood and atmosphere.
Assist the Business Banking Manager in creating staffing schedule for the branch.
Handle personnel matters of your reports including, screening, hiring, orienting, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating positions that report to you.
Create and implement employee development plans with your staff members.
Ensure that responsibilities of direct reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Meet Sales Responsibilities:
Follow all Security and Loss Prevention standards
Complete Internal Control Responsibilities according to Internal Audit Schedule
Assist Coworkers as needed
Complete Other Duties as Requested

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
